I originally wrote this as a personal article a while ago as a little philosophy project to explain life in a way that made sense to me. The goal was to take my current understanding of many areas of science and simplify it down into plain language and first principles, to make it easier for our monkey brains to reason about.

I spent a lot of time playing video games growing up, and I've worked as a software engineer for the past 7 years. This has led me to thinking about things in a particular systems level and engineering way.

I built it for other people like me - the curious. Whether that's programmers, gamers, rationalists, etc. Or just really anyone that is into this way of breaking down complex phenomenon. Hopefully you enjoy!
